Beware of Online Content Theft

Being a manufacturer from Pakistan for more than a decade and an entrepreneur for over 20 years, who grew up in the States, I always felt it was a good business practice to keep an eye on the competition. So I routinely do web searches to see who else has jumped on the salt lamp and consumption salt wagon. Often times I find web sites that have taken our pictures and text without our consent. During my most recent research a new so-called ‘manufacturer’ has copied my web site, word for word.

By the way, the perpetrator is in Pakistan and… beyond the reach of US laws. I have successfully stopped some, since I have the advantage of my presence there and being able to enforce Pakistani laws. I strongly feel there should be more international laws to protect our years of honest hard work. I just hope my clients are able to identify the difference.
